Venous disorders - above all a “sitting disease”

Many people tend to sit more and more during the day instead of getting as much exercise as possible. Thus, more and more people suffer from venous disorders. Venous disorders are defined by a limited function of venous valves and venous walls.

Heavy legs, feeling of tension and itching in the extremities are first alarm signals. Venous disorders may also be the result of genetic predisposition. Today, every second to third adult suffers from this disorder - women are affected above-average. We treat venous disorders gently and effectively with our laser method.

Which venous disorders are treated by us?

Among the most common venous disorders are varicose veins and spider veins. For these disorders, many patients are seeking an intervention for aesthetic reasons. But venous disorders might also be diseases to be taken seriously whose examination and treatment must not be delayed. Thus, we also treat deep vein thrombosis with our laser method. Our method is especially suited for follow-up treatment: We specialise in patients with venous disorders who cannot find help elsewhere. Members of statutory health insurances may also be accepted under certain conditions.

Benefits of our laser treatment

Our laser units were developed in the USA. They are state-of-the-art units. With these units, we can laser veins with extraordinary effectiveness: The bundled laser rays can be adjusted precisely - the affected vessel can thus be targeted specifically without damaging the neighbouring tissue. The heat created during the laser treatment e.g. obturates varicose veins with all their lateral branches very effectively. The vessels thus atrophied are then degraded by the body itself. This “gentle" procedure uses the self-regulating forces of the organism.

  • Gentle, low-pain method
  • No incisions required
  • Effective embellishment of the skin
  • Spider veins and brownish skin spots can also be removed

The treatment

Prior to any laser treatment, a thorough pre-examination with the sonography unit is made. The intervention itself is performed at a later date. Depending on the type of the venous disorder, the intervention may also be performed in the out-patient clinic. During our intervention, all treatment steps are continuously monitored by ultrasound. A mild regional anaesthetization of the treated region guarantees that the intervention will be almost painless for you. It usually takes not more than 30 minutes. Normally, two hours later you may get up again and move around.

Healing process and follow-up

Hematomas or swellings hardly occur under laser treatment. The formation of larger scars is also not to be expected. During the first week after the intervention, surgical stockings should be worn. This supports the healing of the treated vessels. Already two to three days after treating your venous disorder you may return to your daily routine.
